1. Form factor - they are all 7U, and most server cabinets are 42U. This means you can install as many as 6 chassis in the cabinet. With other manufacturers a typical blade chassis is 10U. So, it is 6 vs 10 chassis in a cabinet. Datacenter Superblade can hold 14 blades. Each with 2 CPUs. So, 6 x 14 = 84 servers and x 2 = 168 quad-core CPUs in one cabinet. With 10U chasssis you get 64 servers and 128 CPU accordingly. In one word this is superior DENSITY. Less cabinet, less PDU, less floor-space.

2. 4 Power Supplies on the Superblade chassis require 4 power cords. 6 chassis x 4 power cords would total in 24 power cords per rack, a lot less cable jungle to handle.
